PINE STREET MODERN ELEGANCE
REFINED, WARM MODERN LIVING
CORNING, NY
This Victorian apartment in Corning, NY needed an update without losing the details and character that made it feel like home.
We refinished kitchen cabinets that we had in storage and gave them a new life in the space, then added light oak vinyl flooring, a textured blue-green ceramic backsplash, and a softer palette to open up the apartment.
In the bathroom, the original tub was refinished. Better storage was added, and small hits of color made the room interesting and modern without stripping away its character.
Pine Street Modern Elegance is a study in knowing what to keep and what to change. The finished apartment feels lighter, more functional, and still connected to the building it has always been.
We kept more of this Victorian apartment than we replaced.
For Pine Street Modern Elegance in Corning, NY, the goal was never to make the apartment feel brand new at the expense of its character. We gave existing materials another life and updated the parts of the home that no longer worked for everyday living.
That meant looking closely at what could stay, what could be restored, and where a change would make the biggest difference.
The finished apartment feels fresher and easier to live in, while still feeling connected to the building’s history.
