GETTING STARTED

  • Getting started is simple. Just fill out the contact form on our website with details about your project, including your location and a brief description of what you’re looking for. We’ll follow up shortly to schedule a complimentary discovery call where we’ll explore your goals, timeline, and whether we’re the right fit for each other.

  • Working with Austin Seeley Interiors means you’ll have a thoughtful partner guiding you through every decision, big and small. We specialize in creating timeless, sustainable interiors while helping you reduce decision fatigue and stay on budget. With an intentional design plan established before construction begins, we help you avoid costly surprises and deliver a space that feels considered, cohesive, and uniquely yours.

  • Our clients are usually seeking a home that feels deeply personal, beautifully designed, and built to last. They value creative collaboration, trust our process, and want a designer who can handle the heavy lifting. If you’re looking for a tailored, thoughtful approach that blends aesthetic vision with real-life function, there’s a good chance we’re a great match.

  • Interior design involves space planning, renovation guidance, and technical detailing—think layouts, cabinetry drawings, and material coordination. Decoration typically focuses on furnishings, textiles, and styling. At Austin Seeley Interiors, we’re trained in both, so we can support your project whether it involves construction, styling, or both.

  • Ideally, you should bring a designer on board before or alongside hiring an architect or contractor. Early involvement allows us to shape the design vision, guide layout decisions, and act as your advocate throughout the process—ensuring that every detail aligns beautifully from start to finish.

WORKING TOGETHER

  • At the beginning of your project, we’ll provide an estimated timeline based on your scope and goals. While design and construction naturally evolve, we do everything we can to keep things moving efficiently—so you can start enjoying your space as soon as possible.

  • We offer full-service residential interior design, which means we manage everything from initial concept to final styling. Our work includes layout planning, technical drawings, materials and furniture sourcing, finish and fixture selection, and project coordination. We collaborate closely with you and your contractor to ensure every detail is intentional, cohesive, and beautifully executed.

  • We serve as your design lead, creative partner, and advocate throughout the process. From collaborating with contractors and trades to managing timelines and design decisions, we’re here to ensure everything flows smoothly—and reflects your vision with clarity and precision.

  • We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. You’ll be part of key conversations and review points—like the Design Interview, Schematic Review, and Design Presentation—but we’ll handle the day-to-day problem solving and coordination. We’ll check in when needed, but we’re here to make the process feel effortless for you.

  • Every project starts with understanding your lifestyle, preferences, and priorities. We use curated inspiration images, questionnaires, and thoughtful conversations to define your personal aesthetic—then translate that into a refined, livable design that feels authentically you.

  • Not quite. While those shows offer beautiful results, they compress months of design and planning into a 30-minute episode. Our process is grounded in real timelines, collaborative decision-making, and professional oversight—so you get a result that’s not just stunning, but also functional and lasting.

design scope & services

  • Renovation projects involve fixed elements like flooring, cabinetry, lighting, and architectural changes. Furnishing projects focus on furniture layouts, soft finishes, styling, and decor. Many of our clients do both at once, and we’ll tailor our services to meet your specific needs and goals.

  • Yes. While we’re not general contractors, we offer design management services through-out the renovation process. That means we serve as your advocate—ensuring the design is executed with care and communicating with your builder or tradespeople to keep everything aligned with the original vision.

  • Absolutely. We take on standalone kitchen or bath projects, particularly when clients want to re-imagine the layout, functionality, or aesthetic of these key spaces. These rooms often have the greatest impact on your home and quality of life—and we love helping them shine.

  • We’re an interior design studio, not a construction firm. However, we regularly collaborate with general contractors, builders, and architects to deliver a seamless, well-orchestrated experience—from the earliest planning stages to final execution.

  • Project management is a vital part of our full-service design offering. We coordinate every detail—from site visits and deliveries to quality checks and installation oversight—so your project runs smoothly and meets the high standards we’re known for.

budget & fees

  • During our discovery call, we’ll talk through your goals, scope, and investment range. Most of our clients invest a minimum of $25,000 for a furnishing project or more for renovations. While every project is different, we guide you through what’s realistic based on your priorities and help you make decisions that balance quality, longevity, and style. Design investments typically start around $125 per square foot for furnishings and design services.

  • Yes. To maintain the quality and attention to detail that define our work, we generally require a minimum overall investment of $15,000–$25,000 depending on the project type and scope. This ensures we can deliver results that are both thoughtful and transformative.

  • After your initial consultation, we’ll create a custom proposal outlining the design fee for your project. As a general guide, our design fees typically fall between 15–20% of your total project investment. This fee covers everything from creative direction and sourcing to project management and final styling.

process & logistics

  • We source from a curated network of trusted trade vendors who offer elevated, well-crafted pieces—many of which aren’t available to the public. While we don’t shop in-person with clients, this approach allows us to preserve the integrity of the design vision and make thoughtful, cohesive decisions on your behalf.

  • We understand the temptation, but design decisions are made holistically. Sourcing substitutions independently can lead to mismatches in scale, finish, or quality—and often results in added cost or frustration. If you’d like to handle purchasing, we’ll discuss that upfront and guide you on what works and what may not.

  • Yes, we offer a Master Plan service for clients who want expert direction but prefer to manage implementation on their own. A minimum of three rooms is required for this service. You’ll receive a detailed roadmap, complete with layouts, selections, and sourcing—ready for you to take the lead.

  • While our primary services are in-person throughout the Philadelphia area, we do offer virtual consultations for concept-only or furnishings-focused projects. If you’re outside our service area, feel free to reach out and we’ll explore what’s possible.

  • We manage all product purchasing for our full-service projects. We source directly from high-quality, to-the-trade vendors and offer furnishings at or below MSRP. This ensures quality control, streamlines the process, and gives you access to beautiful, lasting pieces you won’t find in retail stores.

  • Absolutely. If you have pieces you love—like a well-made sofa or a meaningful heirloom—we’ll happily incorporate or refinish them where appropriate. We always assess how existing items align with your goals and the overall design.
